How to Keep Pedaling — Happy Birthday Elle

I’m not sure who said it first, but they earned a mic drop when they said that the days are long as a parent, but the years are short.

This weekend, my oldest, Elle, turned twenty-three, and I’m still shakin’ my head. It feels like yesterday that I held her for the first time, and Pasty Cline lulled her to sleep only to wake as soon as I put her back in her crib.

There were days when we wondered if we would survive the long days that never seemed to end, but then those moments rippled into many more beautiful ones, and we exhaled, realizing we could keep pedaling.

Last week, as you know, I took Thanksgiving off. It started chill, but I ended up in self-quarantine with The Queen’s Gambit, ginger ale, cinnamon-sugar toast, and a ton of P.B.R. time until I received a negative virus test.

Today we are healthy and back with a new video. It’s about a few lessons I’ve discovered from Elle that can help us make the long days of 2020 a little shorter and give us the confidence to keep pedaling until the end of the longest, shortest year ever and toward a better normal.

As always, thanks for watching and sharing. I would love to hear what wisdom you would give to yourself at twenty-three. I’ll pass it along to Elle because sometimes the best advice doesn’t come from dear ole dad.

And don’t forget that the most relaxed holiday gift this year is calm. You can grab your calm and P.B.R. gear by clicking Calm.

Please message me for corporate gift info, but hurry because others are lining up, and I don’t have any elves helping me.

Until next week, remember to pause, breathe, and reflect, and, of course, have fun storming the castle!

Michael
